Hug a Tree

Before sending your child off on a camping trip, go over this wonderful page with him or her:Hug a Tree and Survive.

If you approach it correctly, the knowledge can be perceived as an act of empowerment (ie., not turning something fun--ie., camping--into something to be feared).

Now I'm going to hug my kids. :-)
